Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz Jr., the Ferrari F1-drivers, 75’s will be present for the unveiling at 1pm GMT on Thursday.
Ferrari, which finished third in the constructors’ championship last year after a challenging 2020 season, will head into the 2022 season hoping to build on its previous success.
While Sainz thrived in his first season donning red, winning four of the team’s five podiums in 2021, Leclerc managed to clinch pole in Monaco and came close to winning at Silverstone.
Ferrari will have the chance to challenge Mercedes and Red Bull again when the new F1 technical regulations are implemented in 2022. Since claiming the constructors’ championship in 2008, it hasn’t won a race, and it hasn’t won a championship either.

On February 17, Ferrari will unveil the vehicle that Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc will have the honor of piloting in the 2022 F1 World Championship this year.
The Italian team improved from their worst season in forty years in 2020 to place third in the constructors’ championship the previous year, moving up three spots.
With a podium finish to cap the year, Sainz, a new hire, placed an excellent fifth in the drivers’ standings. Leclerc came in seventh, 5.5 points back.
This season, Sainz and Leclerc will once again operate the red cars, and Team Principal Mattia Binotto will speak with Sainz in the coming weeks about extending his contract past the campaign’s conclusion. Leclerc will be there through the end of 2024.
Ferrari has not yet revealed the name of their new vehicle, which will be the first to use the ground-breaking technical regulations that were implemented for this season.
The first team to do so was Aston Martin, who set a date of February 10 for the unveiling of the AMR22. They are the second team to make its launch date public.
Prior to the 2022 season, Ferrari has announced a “save the date” for the introduction of its new Formula 1 car.
Mattia Binotto, the head of Ferrari F1, stated in December that the team intended to introduce its new vehicle in mid-February, ahead of the start of pre-season testing.
Ferrari, however, has now formally announced its plans on social media, stating that the 2022 model will be unveiled on February 17, one month from today.
Following Aston Martin, which said last week that it would introduce the AMR22 on February 10th, Ferrari is the second team to declare when it will be launching its car ahead of the 2018 season.
Although Ferrari hasn’t yet given its 2022 car a name, the team will enter the new season hoping to build on a promising 2021 campaign.
Following the team’s worst season in 40 years in 2020, Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc led Ferrari to third place in the constructors’ championship with five podium finishes and two pole positions.
Although Ferrari failed to win a race for the second consecutive year in 2017, the data showed that it made progress toward the Mercedes and Red Bull frontrunners, both in terms of overall pace and in race operations like pit stops.
Ferrari has a great chance to attempt and get back to the front of the pack with the new technical regulations for the 2022 season because it decided not to extend the development of its car last year because it believed there could be “zero compromise” for the new ruleset.
Following its introduction on February 23, when preseason testing begins at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Spain, Ferrari’s new car will undergo its first prolonged test run.
The three-day test will be followed by an additional three days of competition from March 10 to 12 in Bahrain, which will also play host to the season’s first race on March 20.
After an outstanding debut season in Maranello, Sainz’s contract is already up for renewal, and negotiations are set to begin this winter. His current contract expires at the conclusion of the 2022 campaign.

The way the team will unveil their eagerly anticipated car has not yet been made public.
Despite the fact that Ferrari hasn’t won a championship in more than ten years in legendary red, they continue to be one of the sport’s biggest draws and will be a major topic to begin a season that features significantly altered new rules and vehicles.

How quickly can an F1 car reach 60 mph?
F1 cars can reach 60 mph from 0 in about 2.6 seconds. This may seem slow given their highest speed, but because much of their speed comes from aerodynamics, which performs better the faster the car is moving, they are unable to start with all of their power.
The record for the fastest race in Formula One is presently held by Valtteri Bottas, who reached a speed of 372.5 km/h (231.4 mph) during the 2016 Mexican Grand Prix. Even though this is undoubtedly fast, IndyCar single-seaters are faster than F1 vehicles overall. While F1 vehicles aren’t as swift in straight lines, the race’ emphasis on downforce and cornering speeds makes them faster overall.
The Circuit of the Americas hosts F1 and IndyCar races, and in the latter’s inaugural race there in 2019, the pole time for the IndyCar was 1m46.018s with an average speed of 186.349km/h. In contrast, Valtteri Bottas’ pole time for F1 in 2019 was 1m32.029s, averaging 206.374km/h.
The fastest speed achieved with an F1 car is substantially greater than the fastest speed set during a race, which is 372.5km/h (231.4mph). Honda currently holds this record. To attempt to break the 400 km/h barrier, they took its RA106 to the Bonneville Salt Flats in the US, a location well-known for high-speed rides. Despite failing, they managed to reach a top speed of 397.36 km/h (246.9 mph), setting a new record for an F1 car.
