With its all-electric Taycan, Porsche declared in early February that it had broken the Guinness World Record for the highest speed by a vehicle indoors after exceeding 165 km/h in a convention center in New Orleans.
The vehicle used to attempt the record was a top-of-the-line Taycan Turbo S with 751 horsepower, a quantity that contributed to the car’s 2.8-second 0–100 km/h time.

The Taycan recently set a record for the longest continuous drift in an electric car and is the quickest four-door EV around the Nurburgring. It is also the fastest EV on Road Atlanta when equipped with Turbo S. And as long as we’re talking inside, it’s now the quickest automobile in the world.
Yes, Leh Keen, a racing driver, recently broke the official indoor land speed record in a Porsche Taycan Turbo S. There’s no doubt that the 750 horsepower and extraordinarily savage off-the-line performance of the Taycan’s fastest and fastest variant led to their selection. After all, the Taycan Turbo S impressed us with an astounding zero-to-60-mph pace of 2.4 seconds during our initial testing in February of last year. The Porsche Taycan can drive over 300 miles on a single charge, which is comparable to the distance a sports car can cover with a full tank of gas. This is made possible by a sizable battery pack. The Taycan does require more time to recharge than a 911, but thanks to quick charging, an 80% charge is accessible in just 20 minutes.

Taycan is it quicker than Tesla?
