A QLS button is present when listening to a USB disk. Nothing is in the instructions that I can find. When I toggle it, I notice a slight difference in sound. Does anyone precisely understand what this is?

Quantum Surround Logic Page 9–24 of the infotainment manual detail the following: “Offers surround sound that can create the same level of spatial depth of field as on a real stage.”

The Crucial Conditions

The tab on the touchscreen that includes Quantum Logic Surround, Bass Boost (which is just an on/off checkbox), and Speed Dependent Volume Control is the most significant of the audio menus I discovered. Because the bass response was accurate but not particularly deep, I experimented with Bass Boost; as usual, this setting let me down. The musicality that was already present was destroyed by the boomy, one-note bass that resulted. Although the subwoofer is part of the system and is located in the side panel of the cargo area, its enclosure cannot be large enough because the driver has a diameter of just under 8 inches. Even with stupid bass-heavy material playing, the system sounds passably nice with Bass Boost off, but dynamics are just passably acceptable, and you barely feel the bass. When Bass Boost is activated, an aural boom fills the cabin, but you can’t feel it. As a result, the Palisade with Harman Kardon may be the ideal illustration of how deep bass cannot be faked.

Greater woofer size and enclosure volumes are what you basically need for deep bass frequencies, even if that enclosure is the trunk of a car. Sadly, hatchbacks lack a trunk, and large SUVs have trouble producing the deepest lows unless their designers can jam a lot of large-diameter woofers, a big subwoofer cabinet, or both into them. However, these modifications rarely match the performance of a vintage aftermarket (or homemade) subwoofer box. I’ll be honest and say that I’ve been pretty impressed by what original equipment manufacturers have accomplished with the molded plastic things they drop into the center of a spare tire or the space they steal from a side panel. I mentioned in that study that the Atlas required more bass, but I believe it had a longer bass range than the Palisade.

A crucial feature was the Quantum Logic Surround option, which is accessible via a tiny QLS button above the main audio menu. I always start with these features off and all other settings set to their default positions because changing, for example, a tone control frequently causes another abnormality. The soundstage is very small and narrowly focused behind the rearview mirror when QLS is disabled. When it was turned on, the stage was pleasantly widened and the singer was directly in front of the driver (which I love), but the voice picture wasn’t as stable and the mix grew quieter. With QLS disabled, the representation sounded cleaner, but I required a larger stage. The fader and balance settings needed work.

Although I applaud the automobile for having few bizarre controls, I would like autonomous control of the center channel. That might enable me to extend the soundstage and lower its volume in relation to the left and right speakers without affecting any other QLS effects. In the end, I settled on maintaining QLS constantly as a workable compromise.

What audio system is employed by the Hyundai Palisade?

Experience Harman Kardon in the Hyundai Palisade for rich, engrossing sound that immerses the entire family, moment by moment. The spacious interior’s three rows are filled with twelve speakers and a 630-watt amplifier to produce a sound system that is ideal for every route and destination.

The Hyundai Palisade from 2022 has rear entertainment, right?

You don’t get the same amount of kid-friendly convenience with the Palisade as you do with the new Pilot. This is due to the fact that, in contrast to the Honda Pilot, the new Hyundai Palisade does not have a rear entertainment system as standard equipment or an add-on.

Has the Hyundai Palisade a communications system?

The new Palisade model incorporates a number of cutting-edge technologies, most of which are specific to the Hyundai line of vehicles. The Ultrasonic Rear Occupant Alert will send you a text message if you leave anything or anyone in the back of your car, and the Blind View Monitor will warn you if any drivers enter your blind spot.

Additionally, the 2020 Palisade will come equipped with a driver talk/quiet mode in-car intercom that enables you to easily converse with your passengers in the second and third row of seats. Additionally, you can turn off audio that is being played in those rows so that your passengers can sleep soundly. By the way, the brand-new 10.25-inch center touchscreen can play this audio!

Which speakers does Hyundai employ?

The Bose system in the i20 has eight high-performance speakers and is designed for amazing music and sound reproduction under a variety of driving circumstances. It also features cutting-edge digital signal processing.

To ensure that all of the parts work together to generate a rich and lively listening experience, each speaker is created to reproduce a certain set of low, mid, or high frequencies.

A Super65 speaker, which is exclusive to Bose, is installed in each front door to deliver powerful low-frequency performance. Super65 speakers combine with a 5.25-inch (130mm) neodymium woofer inside a specially designed enclosure positioned inside the rear-left quarter panel of the i20 to offer deep bass throughout the cabin. Super65 speakers play lower and louder than standard 6.5-inch (165mm) speakers.

A 3.25-inch (80mm) neodymium mid-range Bose Twiddler speaker in the center of the instrument panel and two 5.25-inch (130mm) wide-range speakers, one in each rear door, produce clear and well-balanced sound reproduction. Two 1-inch (25mm) neodymium tweeters, one in each quadrant cover, emit higher frequencies.

A Bose digital amplifier with eight channels of personalized equalization powers the system. Also included in the system is dynamic speed compensation technology, which automatically adjusts music volume based on vehicle speed for a more consistent listening experience and eliminates the need for drivers to manually adjust while driving.

What does the Hyundai automobile intercom’s driver speak mean?

You may utilize the microphone above the driver’s seat to effortlessly converse with passengers in the back seats thanks to the Palisade’s Driver Talk feature, which functions like an in-car intercom. Swipe left on the infotainment home screen to turn it on. Press “Driver Talk” after that. To let you know it is turned on, the Driver Talk icon (two message bubbles) displays in the upper left corner of the homescreen. Please start speaking. The back cabin’s audio speakers will pick up your voice.

Tap “End” on the touchscreen to exit “Driver Talk” mode. The “End Call” button on the steering wheel will also end Driver Talk mode if you need to navigate away from the Driver Talk screen while it is active but later decide to end Driver Talk mode. Note that radio and media capabilities are not available when Driver Talk mode is on.

Is there a CD player in the Hyundai Palisade?

The sound quality of the Palisade’s speakers is excellent and should be highly considered as a vital feature of this vehicle, despite the drawbacks of lacking a CD player or SD card reader. Starting MSRP for the Hyundai Palisade is roughly $54,200.

What kind of speakers are in a Hyundai Kona?

The vehicle has eight drivers in total, with the eighth serving as a subwoofer, for its audio system. A 100mm center speaker, two 160mm woofers, and two 25mm tweeters make up the front five speakers. There are two 160mm woofers in the back and a 200mm subwoofer in the boot. Additionally, an eight-channel amplifier by Krell Automotive has been incorporated, increasing the system’s overall output to 400 Watts.

The actual subwoofer is a wonderful feature because it provides the essential low-end rumble in songs that benefit from a strong 808 smash. For instance, the subwoofer performs a fantastic job of keeping up with the music in Usher’s 2012 hit, “Lemme See,” which contains a consistent level of bass throughout the song.

The mid-bass is fairly dominant, so we advise turning it down a few steps to prevent it from dominating the other frequencies. It can be heard across the entire cabin and is undoubtedly in the forefront of the system’s sound characteristic. However, there is a slight lack of control, especially at higher volumes, where the system fails to maintain the mid-bass frequencies precisely and instead sounds a little unstable.

However, the highs are outstanding, with a nearly flawless extension at the top. The car would have received a perfect score if it had a couple extra tweeters at the back of the cabin.

The recessed mids are a drawback. One might consider raising the “Mid” EQ setting a few notches, but regrettably, doing so taints the accuracy in the frequency band and finally produces an unnatural replica. When compared to the remainder of the frequency spectrum, Bob Sinclair’s voice sounds muted in the song “World Hold On.” The voices experience a strange reverb when the EQ is turned up a few levels.

The eight-driver system lacks depth and width in the soundstage. Because there are just two speakers in the back of the cabin, the music feels a little closed off and does not fill the entire cabin with sound. The center driver at the front of the cabin helps to improve the overall reproduction, making it a little bit better at separating instruments.

The 2021 Facelift Kona Electric has one of the quieter cabins in its price range, although there is some tyre noise at the front of the cabin and occasionally, while driving over rougher terrain, a rattle may be heard coming from the plastic door frames. 35 decibels (dBA) were measured at a stop in our controlled testing using a sound meter, 53–56 dBA at 20–30 mph, 60–64 dBA at 40–mph, and 70–74 dBA at 70–mph.
