In the northeast, we started hosting weekend-long destination events in 2002. The Honda and Acura lifestyle is celebrated at HDAY, which was founded by OGS1320 (Ortega Global Solutions, LLC). Activities include drag racing, car shows, giveaway cars, a lifestyle stage, and a vendor midway.

It started out as a Honda and Acura event at Raceway Park in New Jersey, but it has expanded to accommodate fans at IHRA/NHRA Dragways in numerous US states. As we consistently strive to enhance the HDAY experience with each event, media outlets and fans from all around the world have helped us establish our profile in the business. With the assistance of our staff and sponsors, we give away a built Honda or Acura at each HDAY. Maryland International Raceway’s length is how many miles?

The complete 1/4 mile at MIR will be used for both roll racing and drag racing during this event. A DJ, a sound competition, and a car exhibition will also be included in the event. Capitol Raceway is closed; why?

Jim Cunningham, owner of the NHRA Pro Stock team, now has Capitol Raceway shuttered. This closure appears to be related to a dispute over the track’s lease. According to what we have read and heard, Cunningham, his family, and the landowner were unable to come to an agreement when the lease needed to be renewed for the 2012 season. The land on which the facility is located is owned by a different party.

Even while we detest the idea of any drag strip closing, Capitol Raceway hasn’t exactly been in the best of light lately. The track gained more notoriety for its worn-out atmosphere and high-profile crashes (see the video below) than for its brilliant performances, exciting events, and contented racers. But it wasn’t always the case. The track opened in 1961 and was one of the true epicenters of drag racing on the east coast during the 1960s and 1970s. The track was well-known among racers across the nation and was frequently used by competitors like Phil Bonner, Malcom Durham, and others.

For whatever reason, the track hasn’t had a good run of recent years. The fact that many local racers choose to compete at Maryland International Raceway rather than at the facility is a sad testament to how the community feels about it. If an agreement can be reached with the landowner, the track will likely reopen under new management, according to a few trustworthy sources.

Colonial Beach Dragway’s owner?

In Colonial Beach, Virginia, there is a 50 acre drag racing complex called Custom T’s Motorsports Park. One of the most talked-about motorsports venues on the east coast, “The Park,” as it is commonly called by fans, was founded in 2018 by Custom T’s Racing owner and grudge racing icon Larry Thompson. After observing the tire prints left by racing luminaries like Kye Kelly, Mike Murillo, and Eric Malone, as well as performances by grammy-nominated artists (Paul Wall, Doug E. Fresh), Custom T’s is poised to transform motorsports. Pay attention!

The unfortunate reality is that every year, several facilities permanently close their doors, even if we frequently visit tracks that have been in place for decades. The earth starts to slowly but relentlessly regain the grounds the moment the chains are fastened. The sights along that path of rehabilitation can be depressing, if not downright scary. The track, which located in Monrovia, Maryland, close to the crossroads of Routes 75 and 80, opened in the early 1960s and operated continuously until 2005, when it was allegedly permanently shut down. But after receiving a lot of encouragement from local racers and spectators, the track owners decided to make minor improvements in 2007 and reopen for competition in 2009. As is frequently the case, this robust local support started to dwindle, and in September 2013, the lights were turned off for good. Given those dates, it is very clear how quickly nature resumes its quiet work after humans leave a place because the degradation that has engulfed the property in the film only took less than three years to develop.

Sumerduck Dragway’s length is how long?

WEST PALM BEACH, FL. With a new sanctioning agreement with the International Hot Rod Association, Summerduck Dragway is embracing the history and constructing for the future (IHRA).

Curtis Stuart and Mark Donovan, the proprietors of the track, are maintaining ties to the past by working with Mike and Joy Anderson to kick off the 2021 season. They have been really active updating the facility for the racers.

The first step was to add extra shutoff area to the track to make it safer. The racers have more room before they must turn at the end of the drag strip because of this.

Stuart said, “Mark and I wanted to stretch the track back. “We wanted to leave it at an eighth of a mile, but with a 660 run-off instead of a 560 run-off, we have an additional 100 feet of stopping space.

They enlarged the track by two feet and installed a draining system while they were excavating. Phase 1 of track improvements, which also involves burying overhead lines, includes it. A fresh timing system was just connected, and there is a new scoreboard as well.

Since he was 16 years old, Stuart has been active in racing. Before Cliff Ewell sadly lost his life in an accident, he introduced Stuart to the sport and occasionally allowed Stuart drive his car. Jonathan Beasley, the track’s owner, recently declared on social media that stock car racing at Potomac Speedway will end by 2025. Additionally, it was mentioned in the statement that the new owner intends to concentrate mostly on dirt bike racing at the track.

For fifty years, Potomac Speedway has been operating. The 2025 season will be the final one for stock car racing at Budds Creek in three years.

Ezra, my son, wants to concentrate solely on dirt bikes, therefore I’m selling the track to him. It will now function as a Supercross course exclusively. I want to thank Denise, who has promoted the speedway professionally for 25 of those 50 years. I granted her a three-year lease prior to the sale so that you guys would have time to wind down. I want to express my gratitude to the stock car racers and my regrets at the same time.
