There’s a good chance that at least one Ferrari will be on the list of any car enthusiast’s ideal vehicles. Can you purchase a pre-owned or vintage Ferrari on a tight budget?
Many people believe that purchasing a Ferrari requires having millions of dollars in the bank. Recently, we released lists of the 100 most expensive Ferraris and the greatest limited-edition Ferraris, and it only took readers about five minutes to grumble that the rankings were pointless because so few people could actually afford the cars. Good point. Fortunately, we enjoy ranking Ferraris, so we decided to conduct some research and compile a list of the top cheap models available to you. The good news is that we discovered many Ferraris that are still available for prices that most automobile enthusiasts can afford.
On our list, the majority of the top used Ferraris are under $100,000. At the low end, we identified Ferraris that were still very fine cars and a wonderful deal for under $50,000. For those with slightly larger budgets, we also have a few vehicles priced at just over $100,000 that we believed were still decent choices and reasonable bargains. Finally, we even included three models that are above $200,000 and clearly not inexpensive. Our reasoning was that there are people with larger incomes who want to purchase a contemporary, late-model Ferrari but aren’t wanting to buy brand-new. They want to spend some cash but still get a lot for their money when buying a Ferrari. Again, most people won’t be able to afford these cars, but we still thought they were excellent values.

One of Ferrari’s most exquisite vehicles to date is perhaps the 2022 Roma. The grand touring vehicle heralds a return to the aesthetic of vehicles from the middle of the twentieth century, such as the 250 GT and the 275 GTB. These were strong road vehicles that could handle the most difficult mountain curves, but they were also attractive sports cars with clean, sophisticated lines and plush interiors. Performance has recently taken precedence over aesthetics in Ferrari design, resulting in aerodynamic carrozzeria with contours, vents, and spoilers intended to direct airflow at 180 mph. Examples of high-performance automobiles that prioritized engineering and performance over aesthetics are the new SF90 Stradale and F8 Tributo.

With an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the engine delivers all of its power to the rear wheels, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 199 mph.
The base model of the 2022 Roma GT coupe costs $222,620, which is still more than other new models (the 2022 Ferrari SF90 Stradale starts at $511,295). The 2022 Roma is the least expensive Ferrari currently being produced.

There is no more economical option than a 400i for those who insist their Ferrari has at least 12 pumping cylinders. With four seats and genuine quad-cam V12 power, the 400i is an intriguing businessman’s express coupe. The majority of these had GM three-speed automatic gearboxes (at least one part is inexpensive to replace), and the uncommon five-speed variants command a high price.
These are excellent long-distance tourers, if you can maintain the complex and delicate V12. They have lots of space, a unique soundscape, and in my opinion, the design has held up pretty well over time. This one will appreciate in value when 1980s automobiles go out of style.
