There are two passenger options for the California. A version with two front seats and a rear bench for skis or golf equipment is offered by Ferrari. It can also provide a 2+2 interior configuration with two regular front seats and two smaller chairs for extra passengers or infants; this is the one we drove around the suburbs in.
The front of the 2+2 is quite cozy. Its heated leather seats, which can be electrically adjusted in all directions and offer lots of support during sharp turns, immediately felt comfortable to our buttocks. Even for those who bear the misfortune of being freakishly tall, there is more than enough leg and head room for front passengers.
It’s a completely different tale around the rear. The 2+2 model doesn’t give anything that is roughly the size and shape of a human being even close to enough room. Anyone trying to fit in the back of this vehicle will have to ride side-saddle with their legs spread out over both rows of seats.

Configuration[edit]
There were two passenger seating options for the grand touring California. The initial option (2+2) has two back seats with constrained space and perhaps only sufficient capacity for small child safety seats. The back seats were eliminated in the second option (2+) and were replaced with a bench storage compartment. This storage space had matching leather luggage tie-down straps and could hold a little bit more luggage or personal items than the seats.
space for the head, legs, and passengers
Although they feature Isofix child seat anchors, the rear seats are actually too tiny for normal use while the front sports seats are comfy but figure-hugging. However, if you think of them as extra luggage space, the California starts to make more sense. However, when the roof is down, you shouldn’t leave anything on the rear seat that could get pulled into the slipstream!
Convenience & boot space
First things first: the California T has four seats, but it’s classified as a 2+2 thus the back seats are, at best, only fit for children. Even though there are two ISOFIX mounts, it will be difficult to install a kid seat. However, if the lack of cup holders or any genuine storage is a deal-breaker for you, the front seat’s space is superb.
The California T is quite simple to live with once that’s out of the way and you realize that the back seats may be used as extra storage. The boot has a capacity of 340 liters with the roof up, which is about what you’d find in a Ford Fiesta. Fold the ceiling, and as you might expect, the available space decreases until it is just big enough for a few squishy bags.
Although a wind deflector that folds and stores in the roof will keep all but the most errant hair under check, wind buffeting isn’t too awful when the roof is down.
Interior of a Ferrari California
The interior of the Ferrari California specifications immediately makes it clear that this is no ordinary car. The interior of the car is luxuriously decorated with Italian leather and opulently sophisticated. The Ferrari California features everything, including a comprehensive navigation system with a DVD output, an iPod connection, and an in-depth instrument panel. The “2+” seating idea option, however, is one of the interior’s most distinctive features. The car can fit four people for short excursions but isn’t quite big enough to be called a “2+2” style. The seats can also fold flat for storage when not in use. There is also a different layout option where the back seats are swapped out for a rear bench with storage.
Overview
The Ferrari California, which debuted on the American market in 2009, received only trim updates for the 2011 model year. First Ferrari vehicle with a front-mounted V8 engine was the California. The mid-engined Ferrari V8s from the past. The Ferrari 250 California convertible, which was introduced in 1957, was referenced by the term California. The California of the twenty-first century had a power-retractable hardtop but was still a convertible. The California could accommodate four people, although the narrow back seat was better suited for carrying packages. For a more versatile baggage capacity, this Ferrari was the first to include split-folding rear seatbacks. A 4.3-liter V8 engine with 460 horsepower was used to power the vehicle. The main gearbox was a seven-speed automated-manual that operated similarly to a standard automatic. After the California went on sale, a six-speed manual transmission was announced, but it seems that not many of those were sold. Ferrari claimed the California had a top speed of 193 mph and could accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in less than 4 seconds. Brake rotors made of carbon ceramic were required. Front-side airbags, antilock brakes, traction control, an antiskid system, and an automatic roll bar with rollover protection were all available safety features. A wireless cell phone connection, leather upholstery, a navigation system, and alloy inside trim were all offered as standard features. There were options for a rearview camera, front and rear obstacle detection, an LED tachometer located on the steering wheel, an iPod interface system, and fitted baggage. The California classified as the “entry-level” Ferrari with a starting price of less than $200,000 and was available in only one trim level. Purchasers in New California had to pay a Gas Guzzler Tax.
