Think Blue Score: What is it?
Think Blue Trainer is a mobile app that encourages more fuel-efficient driving. Although it may be utilized on mobile devices, the onboard infotainment touchscreen is where it is designed to be used.
It operates by keeping track of the engine’s health and using that data to provide drivers immediate advice on how to drive more fuel-efficiently. In other words, when driving a manual transmission, the app will instruct you to shift into the proper gear if you are traveling at the incorrect speed.
As you proceed, you will notice a center circle with the words “3>4” in it, indicating that you should change from third to fourth gear. The program will play a melodic bell sound when the user completes a recommended gear shift!
The secret to a higher Blue Score in an automatic is to gently press the accelerator while maintaining a consistent pace.
The Think Blue Trainer from Volkswagen will offer advice on how to drive more efficiently, such as to reduce idling, shut windows, or change drive modes.
An efficiency gauge that gently fills up as you drive more sustainably is in the center of the screen. The efficiency meter will keep filling up and the word “eco” will appear in the center of the display when you are driving as efficiently as possible.
The circle that rates your driving efficiency on the left-hand side of the screen is known as your “Blue Score” by the app. You can see your miles per gallon in the circle on the right side of the display.
Volkswagen is aware of the need for greener procedures. They are also aware of the advantages in real life of encouraging safer driving habits.
The Think Blue Trainer is in keeping with this objective, but it also offers clients the chance to save money while also helping to reduce air pollution. This puts VW in front of the curve as they work to improve their eco-friendly operations while also providing added value to VW drivers.
