I was stunned and surprised to learn that the Audi A3 1.4 TFSI S-tronic I had just ordered has a Skoda engine. Do I need to worry?

According to the VW group, India will not be a priority market for the introduction of new models until 2015 since the “commercial case is not positive.”

“The business case under consideration does not appear good. We are not in a position to do that in relation to the investment we need to make, Hackenberg had stated.

John Chacko, the chief representative of the Volkswagen Group in India, has previously stated that the company will refrain from making any significant decisions or releasing new models in India.

In the meanwhile, the business would keep releasing more models that are derived from the current platforms, Chacko had noted.
