However, the Tiguan offers greater comfort levels. At highway speeds, the passenger cabin is more upscale and quiet, and the ride is superb overall. The Tiguan is unquestionably the best option for regular long-distance cruising.

Without appearing to contradict ourselves, the T-Roc R and Tiguan R are the only two models in these VW SUV lines that are thrilling to drive. Unfavorable news for purchasers of the T-Roc Cabriolet and Tiguan Allspace: neither body style is available in these thrilling high-performance versions. Only the T-Roc SUV and the 5-seat Tiguan are permitted to use them.

But if you’re looking for a super-quick, super-chic SUV, they’re definitely worth checking out. The 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder “EA888” turbocharged petrol engine in each of these models powers all four wheels (through 4Motion all-wheel drive) and is mated to a 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission. The Tiguan R, which is larger and heavier than the T-Roc R, features a slightly more powerful version of this drivetrain; it has 320 horsepower and 420 Nm, whilst the T-Roc R must “make do” with 300 horsepower and 400 Nm. However, the T-Roc, which is lighter, accelerates to 62 mph more quickly than the Tiguan, doing it in 4.8 seconds as opposed to 4.9 seconds. Both have a maximum speed cap of 155 mph.

The Audi SQ2 and BMW X2 M35i (more for the T-Roc R than the Tiguan), followed by the Cupra Formentor 310 TSI for the Tiguan R, are some of the strong competitors for these 2 hot SUVs. They both have excellent handling, superb chassis balance, and scorching performance. The odd thing about this is that, although sharing a fundamentally similar chassis with the Tiguan R, the Cupra somehow has more handling fun thanks to Spanish engineers than Volkswagen’s engineers did for the R. The T-Cross, on the other hand, has a taller, boxier form, which adds to its usefulness. Compared to the Polo, which is 1751mm wide and 1446mm tall, it is 1760mm broad and 1583mm tall.

The Tiguan AllSpace and T-RocSUVs from Volkswagen have been quietly withdrawn in India. Bookings for the T-Roc and the Tiguan AllSpace have both been removed from Volkswagen India’s website. Both of these types were shipped in small quantities as completely assembled units to India.

Is the T-Roc a wise purchase?

The Volkswagen T-Roc is a compact SUV with stylish design and high levels of functionality, similar to a high-end messenger bag. Although it might not be the most thrilling vehicle available, it works pretty well as a runaround.

The T-Roc concentrates more on utility than form while still being rather intelligent, much like its German rivals, the BMW X2, Audi Q2, and Mercedes GLA, but it isn’t nearly as quirky as the Nissan Juke and Mazda CX-30.

Inside, the stylish design is maintained. The trim accents are given some character by ambient lighting, and the enormous displays installed are straightforward yet useful. Some physical buttons are still in use, but VW’s unpleasant sliding climate control system must be overcome.

The T-Roc lineup has excellent standard equipment across the board, including 16-inch alloy wheels, roof rails, LED headlights, and wireless smartphone connectivity.

Adults won’t have much legroom in the back, and most people will have enough headroom even though it’s a little snug for taller individuals. However, the quality isn’t great, especially where you might want to rest your arm on the window sill. Additionally, the colors lack inspiration, with a lot of the materials being black and grey.

With a 445-liter capacity, the T-Roc has some of the best boot space in its class. The load lip is rather modest, making loading and unloading straightforward, and the seats may be folded down nearly flat. Out of the available options, only the Mercedes GLA has a larger boot.

But it’s in the way it drives that the T-Roc fights back against the Mercedes. While the GLA is more refined overall, this vehicle is more engaging and has better steering feel. It’s small enough to simply manoeuvre through the town’s winding streets.

Despite not being the most thrilling vehicle available, the T-Roc is well-designed and enjoyable to drive.

On longer trips, it also manages to maintain a high level of composure and comfort while cruising, with little noise coming from the tyres and roof rails that come standard.

You can only pick between gasoline and diesel in this edition of the T-Roc because there are no electric or hybrid models available. With 110 horsepower, the base petrol engine is more than adequate for most drivers, and depending on your preferences, you may pick between a six-speed manual and a seven-speed automatic transmission.

The top-end petrol and diesel models also come with four-wheel drive, but it’s not something most people needonly a small number do.

The T-Roc comes equipped with adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, lane keep assist, high beam assist, and other features that are typically offered in packs or as extras on many competitors.

The VW T-ROC is produced where?

In April 2020, VW introduced the T-Roc Cabriolet in Germany, the company’s first convertible vehicle in the previous two years.
