The headquarters of the Ducati group of enterprises are in Borgo Panigale, Bologna, Italy, and they are best known for producing bikes. Through its Italian affiliate Lamborghini, which is in turn owned by the Volkswagen Group, German automaker Audi owns the group. [1]
Currently, the group consists of four businesses:
- Previously known as Ducati Meccanica, the motorcycle-manufacturing division Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A.
- Formerly known as Ducati Elettronica, Ducati Energia is a designer and producer of electrical and electronic systems.
- Providing electronic and information technology products for uses in road transport, railroad transport, and transport automation is Ducati Sistemi, a division of Ducati Energia.
- Ducati Motor Holding owns 100% of Ducati Corse, which manages the Ducati motorcycle racing program.
Ducati produced electrical goods such razors, cameras, and radios throughout the 1930s and 1940s. During World War II, Ducati also produced a marine binocular known as the BIMAR for the Kriegsmarine, some of which were later offered on the civilian market. Do VW own a motorbike manufacturer?
No, Volkswagen has never created or offered a motorcycle for sale. A legitimate motorcycle from the past or present won’t be offered for sale. There have, however, been a few custom-built bikes powered by VWs over the years.
VW does not manufacture motorcycles, yet it is still vital to drive carefully near them.
Are Ducati bikes made by VW?
It should be noted that the Volkswagen Group does own both Audi and the motorbike maker Ducati. In this sense, Ducati is a part of VW, and all Ducati motorcycles are made by Volkswagen. VW to market Bentley?
Bentley is owned by Volkswagen, while Audi has been in charge of it since March 1, 2021. When fully transitioning from gasoline- or diesel-powered engines to electric, it is an expensive proposition. The subsidiary’s action follows the Volkswagen brand’s planned march toward electric and autonomous technologies.
Volkswagen considered selling four of its brands to cut expenses, but instead decided to keep Bentley and include it into Audi’s 2030 objective of entirely transitioning to electric vehicles.
