As long as it doesn’t impair the truck’s performance, I personally have nothing against reducing the size of the engine. However, I believe Toyota would appeal to more v8 sentimentalists if it could figure out a way to make these larger engines more efficient.
So what is the Toyota Tundra’s actual MPG in the year 2022? 13 to 17 years old in the city and 16 to 26 years old on the highway. We can guess that the new Tundra will either have a massive and efficient v8, or a twin-turbocharged v6 delivering greater MPG and more power. This is in line with the current trend of small engines or enormous efficiency engines going on with the Tundra.
