After four months and more than 7,000 miles, we’ve truly gotten to know our 2021 Toyota Venza. We not only traveled cross-country in it in both directions, but the Venza has also been a fantastic family hauler for important family trips. The Venza’s cabin is undeniably luxurious and comfortable, but interior room is not one of its strong points. The Venza isn’t as capacious as competitors in its market or a segment below, whether we’re looking at its cargo or passenger capacity. Although the Venza doesn’t offer bad inside space, we’d still prefer a little bit more room in our two-row midsize SUV.
The Cargo Room Problem
It’s the cargo room that is constrained rather than the passenger space. First off, the Venza’s cargo floor is substantially higher than that of any other SUV in its class, making it challenging to load big objects like a large luggage within. The high cargo floor made it more difficult to load the luggage during our road trip or when picking up family members from the airport.

The Venza is more expensive, slightly less fuel efficient, and has less cargo space than the RAV4 Hybrid, so you might be wondering why you should choose it. The First Service
Despite the lack of cargo space, we have been generally pleased with the Venza’s performance in recent months. We didn’t have to spend any money on getting it serviced because every new Toyota comes with Toyota Care, and it has already been to the dealer for its first 5,000-mile service.
