I smoothed out the 5 minute JB Weld until it no longer flowed smoothly, undercut the corners of the missing area, and overfilled it. Give it around ten minutes to setup.
I then used the remaining pin to file the solid JB Weld level. A flat section that remained uninjured on mine must have some use. If your flat area is missing and the repaired visor isn’t working properly, you may be able to locate where it is on the other visor and file the flat area into the correct location on the repaired visor.
Use a board to drive the pin back in after aligning it in the hole to avoid damaging the mounting bracket. If it doesn’t seem to fit completely, push it in while rotating it; it should then return to its original position.
