How To Change License Plate Light Toyota Corolla

One of the longest production runs of any automobile model is the Corolla, which has been a part of Toyota’s portfolio since 1968. Check the fuse before replacing a broken license plate light. Under the trim panel in the trunk, be cautious of sharp edges.

Step 1

Find the clips holding the inside trim panel in place by opening the trunk. By giving each clip’s center a quarter turn with the Phillips screwdriver, you can remove it by popping it out with the trim tool. Trim panel should be set aside.

Step 3

A quarter turn in the other direction will release the bulb socket from the assembly. Install the new bulb after removing the old one from the socket. Reinstall the socket into the assembly, then lock it in place by turning the socket a quarter turn in the clockwise direction.

Line up the claw and push in until you hear it click to reinstall the light assembly into the trunk. Install the inside trim panel after plugging in the electrical connector. To tighten the clips, push the center of the clips in from the outside.
