What color is the 2019 4Runner’s factory tint?

However, if you wish to tint the windows completely black using a 3 percent film, the overall tint will increase to 2 percent or more than limo tint. You will experience a few problems with “beyond limo tint. My primary complaint is that, when looking in the rearview, it is very difficult to see out of the back window. Additionally, you face the chance of being stopped. Nowadays, not a huge deal. However, choosing a 5 percent tint all over will still be well worth it in the end. With the exception of perhaps 20% of the front windows.
Step #2Remove Plastic Cover on Rear Hatch
The back glass and windshield of a 4Runner are the most difficult to tint. However, installing the rear window calls for several steps including the removal of the plastic cover for the rear hatch. Remove one bolt from the outside, then unplug the speaker cables to remove the plastic rear hatch cover. You can fully remove the plastic cover once the speaker cables have been severed. The rear hatch cover must be removed in order to reach a significant surface area for window tinting. Thus, this constitutes the bulk of the procedure. Though I’m not an expert, I have seen a couple 4Runners having their windows tinted. It takes time.

It’s incredible. This is not my 2014 Trail 4Runner; this is my girls’ 2016 SR5 4Runner. Currently, the front windshield of the 2014 Trail 4Runner has a polycrystalline layer that reduces heat resistance by up to 80%. It does not block the sun’s rays from entering your eyes as much as the darker window tint film, but it does block heat a little better than the darker film.
I get window tint envy when I get into the 2016 SR5. Regarding sun and glares, the deeper window tint all around seems much better. Not to add that from the outside, it appears considerably better.

How much of the glass is Toyota privacy?
Privacy glass on the back windows of many new cars is extremely prevalent, especially in SUVs, 4WDs, and utes.
What then is Privacy Glass? Wikipedia provides an excellent justification:

There are clear window films available for cars that won’t make the factory tint any darker. When it is acceptable to do so in their local jurisdiction, many consumers make an effort to match the privacy glass to their front windows and windshield.
It’s crucial to be informed of the regulations governing the privacy glass tinting. The VLT of window tint on the rear windows of the majority of automobiles cannot be less than 20%. i.e., the total darkness of the film and privacy glass cannot exceed the 20 percent VLT limit. This means that even if the privacy glass is clear, you cannot lawfully apply window film to it if it is already 20%, 15%, or below.
The problem is that certain automobiles’ Privacy Glass is already darker than 20 percent, making it unlawful to add any window film on top of it.
Then why can you not install film darker than 20 percent on a car without privacy glass yet new cars are allowed to have Privacy Glass darker than 20 percent on the rear windows? The million-dollar question is that! In Australia, it is currently against the law to install a film that is the same darker shade as the privacy glass on any existing vehicle. However, it is permissible to import cars with privacy darker than 20% on the rear windows.
Typical of our irrational laws
It is declared allowed to import a 2019 Toyota Prado with privacy glass on the rear windows that measures at 15% VLT.
It is prohibited to install 15 percent VLT window film on the rear windows of a 2019 Toyota Prado (without Privacy Glass).
The Privacy Glass does not provide UV protection, however the car with the window film does.
