Do brand-new Toyotas include Sirius?
In new cars, installing satellite radio typically requires an additional fee, especially on cheaper trims where it is infrequently standard. However, if you purchase a Toyota in the near future, you won’t need to be concerned about it.
On Wednesday, SiriusXM made the announcement that it had signed a deal with Toyota under which SXM satellite radio would be included to every Toyota model and grade sold in the US. Beginning in the fall of 2019, automobiles for the 2020 model year will be produced as part of this agreement.
As before, everyone who has SiriusXM installed in their Toyota will receive a complimentary three-month trial membership to SiriusXM All Access, the provider’s most comprehensive (and pricey) plan that offers access through both the radio and the SiriusXM app. After that, the buyer is responsible for paying for a subscription, which can cost upwards of $200 annually, unless you phone every year to complain about the cost and receive the $100 annual discount rate to remain a customer.
