The Cayenne, however, can go 17.4 miles on a single charge in our real-world test and reach speeds of up to 84 mph while operating practically silently on electric power alone.
Sadly, the Cayenne’s brakes fall short; initially doing little when you press the pedal, they suddenly grasp. The brakes on the Macan are more smoother.
Both vehicles have a strong ride, but they are comfortable on highways and can pass over bumps and potholes without jarring. Consider the adaptive air suspension (PS1511) on our Cayenne test car, which gives the ride a pliancy that the regular arrangement lacks. Although the Macan has air suspension as well, which increases ride comfort, it is expensive (PS 1860) and not necessary.
Size and price are the main differences.
