Those who are considering PTS Plus should be aware that the manufacturing schedule may be delayed by up to 11 months due to feasibility testing. This may seem like an outrageously long period to produce a paint color, but Porsche must first generate the hue, paint it on various materials, and then tweak it so that it appears uniformly on aluminum, plastic, carbon-fiber, and fiberglass components and under both natural and artificial light. Porsche will bear the cost of the feasibility study if the PTS Plus research concludes that quality criteria cannot be satisfied.
