3. Remove the lock cylinder’s safety plug.
4. Place the spare key into the lock.
5. Put the lock cylinder’s protective plug back in.

When I attempted to relocate my Macan last week, I discovered that the battery was completely dead, the remote keys were useless, and the emergency keys also wouldn’t function after numerous efforts (this was not my fault!). Am I not trying hard enough to open the door?
I’ve done the following thus far:
2 – attempted to unlock the door by inserting the metal emergency key and turning it both ways, but was unsuccessful.
Now that I’m lost, I’d rather not have to confront Porsche (I can’t afford a second mortgage!) and I don’t want to appear foolish if they simply exerted a little bit more power than I did.
Any ideas, please? In order to try to jump start the car and possibly unlock the door, I wondered if there was another way to open the hood (from the outside).
