- Turn your Porshe key fob over.
- Press the release for the metal key (emergency key) (emergency key).
- Pull the metal key partially out of the key fob.
- To remove the back cover, push the metal key away from the keyfob. The battery will become visible.
- In order to remove the battery from the keyfob, use a little screwdriver.
- Make sure the positive (+) side of the new battery is facing you as you install it in the key fob.
- Put the metal key back on the keyfob and press the back cover.
You will need one CR2032 battery in order to replace the battery in this Porsche key fob.
- To flip the metal key open, press the release button.
- Pull out the back cover using your thumb.
- Pry out the old battery using a tiny tool, such as a little flathead screwdriver.
- Place the fresh battery in place, positive side up.
- On the keyfob, press the back cover. Ensure the battery is properly inserted if the back cover won’t close.
