great subject I recently acquired a 1998 Boxster with dead batteries on the electric hood and trunk latches. By using a different power source to jump the fuse, I’m attempting to use the fuse box. By doing this and pressing the key button or the latch release, I have been able to open the trunk, but the hood latch would not release. I want to know if there is a separate fuse for the hood and if so, which one. The trunk is 15 amp, C-3, 3 across, and 3 down. I believe that technique works fantastically for the trunk, but I am unable to get the hood to release, therefore I’m assuming it must be a separate fuse. The owner’s manual for this vehicle is of no assistance.
