Verify the computer’s USB port before connecting the LaCie device. Two cables are included with your LaCie device at shipping (see LED Indicator and Cables):
- Use this cable if your computer has a USB-C port. USB-C to USB-C
- Use this cable if your computer lacks a USB-C port and supports USB 3.0 or 2.0.
- The USB-C port on the rear of the LaCie Porsche Design Mobile hard drive should receive the cable.
- The other end of the cable should be connected to your computer.

LaCie Setup mounts the drive partition on your desktop (Mac) or in Computer (Windows).

Introduction and Identification
Porsche Design, an Austrian product design studio, and LaCie, a French electronics manufacturer, worked together to create the Porsche Design USB-C Hard Drive. The hard drive is packaged in an aluminum shell with silver, gold, and rose gold accents. You can attach the disk to any computer with a USB connection using the USB-C port on the case.

How is a LaCie hard drive enclosure opened?

- Remove both disks if you’re replacing the enclosure.
Important information
- Other than the clips, the casing is not bonded or otherwise attached to the gadget. The gadget can be opened with only slight force.
- Your warranty will be void if you physically harm the device in any way while opening it. The unit cannot sustain any physical harm.

How do I use a Mac to access my LaCie hard drive?
Choose Utilities > Go from the Finder menu bar. Double-click Disk Utility by going to the Utilities folder. The left column lists every attached storage device, partition, or disk image. from the left column, choose the LaCie hard drive.

I need to access my external hard disk, but I don’t want to format it.
By default, Windows comes with the Check Disk Utility. It is used to check for and correct file system problems like faulty sectors and directory errors.

My LaCie hard drive is beeping; why?
