I could not play after extracting the folder, which contained the files NFS pu and Patch. I was only able to install the Patch file, and an error message reading “CANNOT DETERMINE INSTALATION DIRECTORY” appeared.
How to Install the Game
- Put the Need for Speed: Porsche 2000 CD into the CD-ROM drive on your computer. The menu for Autorun appears.
- In order to launch the Setup application, click INSTALL.
- You are guided through installing NFS: Porsche 2000 by the Setup software. Select Next. The window for the destination location displays.
- The NFS: Porsche 2000 files will be copied to this place. To accept the default, click NEXT. The window for Setup Type appears.
- Click Browse, choose a different location, and then click NEXT to change the destination folder.
- In this window, select the game size that you wish to install. Select Next. The window for the program folder appears.
6. From the Start menu, choose the folder where you want to launch NFS: Porsche 2000, then click NEXT. You can accept the default by clicking NEXT. Your hard drive receives a copy of the game files.
