The bad news is that you must reside in or close to Atlanta, Georgia, in order to rent one. (Insert melancholy trombone effect here.) Porsche Drive is a short-term rental service that offers white-glove concierge delivery and pickup.
But wait, there’s more: On October 8, the brand will introduce Porsche Host, a peer-to-peer experimental program created with car-sharing company Turo, if you are fortunate enough to reside in Los Angeles or San Francisco.
UPDATE: A Porsche Cars North America insider informs us, “To benefit, you don’t need to reside in Atlanta or any of the other cities. Drive and Host are openly available to users from everywhere since they are rental products.”
That’s wonderful news. Locals and aficionados visiting California can reserve a Porsche using an app or the manufacturer’s website for a day, month, or longer.
