Which “auto light” are you referring to? The only green indicator I can think of is the little key sign, which often indicates that the keyfob has a low or dead battery, which would also account for the push-to-start button not functioning. The Auto light (Start/Stop light) on the dashboard started flashing a few weeks ago while you were driving, which had never happened previously.
