I can see a figure in the repair manual with the O2 sensor on the driver’s side representing bank 1 and the passenger side representing bank 2.

On a number of other forums about cats and other repairs, a lot of users claim that Bank 2 is the Left side? Wouldn’t the driver’s side be on the left?

Can someone please tell me which is which for sure. Although I tend to believe the instructions, I know it is not flawless.

On the side of cylinder one is Bank 1. Typically, cylinder one is located on the driver’s side. But in this situation, you need to be cautious.
