Additionally, I was able to extend the wire up the driver-side pillar into the headboard for a neat installation and connect a circuit to the DC DC 10A fuse for a switched circuit for the radar detector. You can delicately nip the wire under and pull the pillar slightly.
I don’t know about the other fuses, but the DC DC 10A fuse was the only one of the ones I tried that would turn off the radar detector after turning off the ignition.
Has anyone ever tried to tap into fuses that are ALWAYS ON? Does the battery become drained? Installing a dash cam crossed my mind.
