Why did Nissan discontinue producing the Micra?

Nissan India has now discontinued three of its vehicles, removing them from its main website, after the Terrano. These are the Sunny, Micra, and Micra Active. Even the 115-horsepower Micra achieved a good WLTP combined cycle mileage of 47.9 mpg, which was better than the previous 99-horsepower turbocharged engine with the five-speed manual gearbox.
The 99 horsepower engine’s CO2 emissions were rated at 126 g/km for the manual version and 140 g/km for the CVT automatic, while the most potent 115 horsepower engine had emissions rated at 133 g/km.
According to Nissan, the current 91 horsepower, five-speed manual model will get an average of 53.3 mpg and emit 121 g/km of CO2. The CVT auto, which achieves a maximum fuel economy of 47.1 mpg and CO2 emissions of 137g/km, is less efficient.
