What Is Etacs Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi’s exclusive ETACS (Electronic Time and Alarm Control Technology) system manages all of the car’s electrical parts, including the headlights, door mirrors, windshield wipers, etc.

What does the Mitsubishi Etacs ECU do?

FYI

“Electronic Time and Alarm Control System” is what ETACS stands for. This ECU uses a LIN bus (separate from the CAN buss) to manage the steering column slave ECU in addition to controlling CAN data throughout the car. This is where the issue with your key immobilizer is coming from.

How can my Etacs be reset?

Disconnect the battery’s +ve and -ve terminals to reset the device. The two cables should be touched. By doing this, the car’s current will be discharged. Ensure that the battery is entirely disconnected from both cables.
