The Eject key is identified by a triangle with a line underneath it that is typically found close to the volume controls. Look for and launch File Explorer in Windows. How do you remove a CD that is stuck in a slot drive?
With this on MacBooks and MacBook Pros, I’ve had some luck. The disc should be seen as it attempts to be ejected (it sort of lifts off a base and lines up with the loading slot), fails, and is then returned to the park position. Put two plastic cardssuch as credit or library cardsin the slot while attempting to hold them apart as much as you can. After hitting the eject button, you should be able to grab the disc with the two cards and carefully pull it out. The idea is to attempt and get one above and one below the disc being ejected. An additional set of eyes or hands makes the task easier, although it does require some patience.
Where is the keyboard’s eject key?
On the majority of recent Apple keyboards, the eject key is located in the upper right corner. When I need to pull out a backup DVD, I periodically hit the SuperDrive button on my large iMac, but otherwise it stays idle. On a MacBook Air, it’s considerably worse. The eject key was swapped out for a tiny power button as there was no SuperDrive to speak of, and the eject function was transferred to the F12 key next to it. What should you do with a key that is no longer functional? Give it a new lease on life!
When one of the workers at Other World Computing, the company that creates all of those quick internal SSDs for MacBook Pros and other devices, had the optical drive on his 2011 MacBook Pro removed and replaced with an OWC Data Doubler + 750 GB hard drive, that’s when everything began. Erik from OWC desired the convenience of greater storage despite having a quick 480 GB SSD as his startup drive in the MacBook Pro.
Erik searched for a solution because his eject key was taking up space and not paying the rent. He discovered KeyRemap4MacBook, a free program. The majority of the non-alphanumeric keys on the Macbook keyboard are remapped by the program to a variety of new functions. Option and Command keys, for instance, can be programmed to accomplish different tasks, and KeyRemap4MacBook modifies key behavior depending on the software you’re now using (note that you can already do this to a point using Keyboard Shortcuts in System Preferences).

Is there a CD player in the 2020 Lexus RX 350?
With the exception of the annoying Lexus Remote Touch controller for the entertainment system, the RX 350L’s interior is excellent. Fortunately, there are alternatives to using it, such as a touchscreen. Contrarily, the sophisticated entertainment system has a CD player, which is unusual to see in modern vehicles.
Is there a CD player in the Lexus RX 2022?
The current-generation RX has done a surprising decent job of keeping up with the times while being in its eighth model year. A 2020 update replaced the horrible touchpad infotainment system of the RX with a decent touchscreen, eliminating (or at least lessening) one of its most unpleasant characteristics. The RX will inherit certain aspect of the infotainment system seen in the freshly remodeled and one-size-smaller NX, with its large touch panel and integrated temperature controls, meaning the touchpad will be permanently removed in the upcoming upgrade.
In a car this vintage, we’d often recommend a complete interior makeover, but the RX has managed to stay astonishingly up to date. The 2022 RX’s interior still seems modern, with the exception of the standard-fit CD player, which is a classic indicator of an older vehicle due to odd switch placement (squeezing in new technology that wasn’t available when the vehicle was first introduced). However, since the RX still needs to appeal to Boomers and other older populations who could still consume physical media, we can’t completely rule out the return of a CD changer.
How reliable is the Lexus RX 350?
A good SUV, the Lexus RX is. It has comfortable handling and a smooth ride, and its fuss-free V6 powerplant gets the job done. With two rows of comfy seats and a comprehensive list of standard equipment, the cabin is stylish and sophisticated. Even so, this Lexus has a respectable fuel rating.
Why won’t my CD eject?
You must physically eject the tray if you think a CD might be stuck in the drive. On the front of the drive, look for the tiny manual eject hole (not the headphone jack). To eject the CD-ROM tray, unwind a paper clip and insert one end into the hole. The manual tray ejection feature might need to be activated by applying some pressure.
If the CD-ROM tray only opens partially, gently tug on it to see if you can get it to open completely. If it won’t open any farther, the CD-ROM drive’s gears are probably damaged or misaligned. However, a stuck CD generally stands in the way.
What key combination ejects a CD quickly?
