Regards, anypats. Just a “heads up” in case another Apple customer runs across this problem. My problem was NOT a common manufacturer or compatibility problem. I dialed my Lexus Delivery Specialist, who walked me through the subsequent steps on my iPhone: Show Notifications must be enabled in Settings/Bluetooth/My Devices/clicked on the blue I symbol next to CarAccessorySystem (mine was off). My last SMS message showed up on my car’s dashboard the next time I drove, and since then, nothing has gone wrong. ISSUES FIXED!
