According to Motor Authority, Kia will replace its wildly successful Telluride three-row SUV with the all-electric EV9. The EV9 is expected to be quite well received when it debuts in the US in 2023 because there are still not many three-row electric vehicles on the market.
The article cites numerous conversations with Kia leaders discussing the company’s future that took place at the 2022 New York Auto Show. The discussions naturally focused on the company’s EVs, particularly the impending EV9 and a few all-electric pickup trucks.
At the LA Auto Show in late 2021, Kia debuted the EV9. At the time, Steven Center, COO of Kia America, predicted that the EV9’s electric range would be around 300 miles. We now know that the concept EV9 will resemble the final model.

The EV9 will undoubtedly be more expensive than the Telluride at launch. Center estimated that the electric SUV will start at $50,000 and cost roughly $15,000 more than the gas-powered family hauler.
