Is the Kia Sonet’s construction good?

The Kia Sonet has the same excellent build quality as its larger sibling, the Seltos. Within a year of its launch, the subcompact SUV from Kia has reached a significant sales milestone. The Sonet SUV has reportedly sold 100,000 units since its premiere by the Korean automaker last year.

According to Kia, the Sonet SUV accounts for close to 32% of the company’s total sales in the nation. After introducing the Seltos SUV and Carnival MPV in India, the automaker now has the Sonet.

What are the Kia Sonet’s drawbacks?

The similarities between the Sonet and the Kia Seltos are immediately apparent as soon as you step into the cabin. Given that the instrument console and 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system are shared with the Seltos, the dashboard has the same design. The touchscreen device supports Bluetooth connectivity, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and other features. Tata Nexon’s sound system, which is sourced from Harman, will face stiff competition from the Kia Sonet’s premium Bose audio system.

The instrument console has a sporty appearance and is easy to read. The front ventilated seats and air conditioning system controls are located on the center console. The new Kia Sonet’s air conditioner performs admirably. Although we were photographing this vehicle in sweltering heat, the air conditioning system is capable of quickly cooling the interior. The SUV also has air conditioning vents for the backseat occupants. A touchscreen is used to control the new Kia Sonet’s integrated air purifier with virus protection.

Comfort of the Chair

This SUV’s primary flaw is that it was designed just to seat four persons. In actuality, a person who is six feet tall won’t find it comfortable. The rear passenger space is cramped, but the front seats are fine. There is extremely little room for back passengers’ legs since it can only fit two adults of ordinary height and a child. Can I use Sonet for a long drive?

I’ve had this Sonet for 8 months and have logged 15000 miles in it. 15500 kilometers of driving experience I’ve had. a hybrid of my old automobile and this sonet.

When it comes to driving, it’s a great drive on the highway with superb braking and stability. Suspension is more difficult. The cushioning effect is good at high speeds, but if we drive slowly through a city, the pothole feels more impact-like.

So long as there are good roads, city driving is good.

However, you will experience physical agony if your roads are bad.

Regarding mileage, I achieve 13 km/l in the city and 14.8 km/l on the highway when maintaining a speed of 100 to 110 km/h with regular fuel.

If you use speed petrol, v power from Shell, or xp95 from Indian Oil, your city millage will be 14.5 and your highway millage will be 19+; but, if you maintain an 80 to 90 km/h pace, your millage will be 20 km/l.

Excellent in the first and second rows for comfort. Given that my family member is about 5.3 feet tall, there was no discomfort. However, a long ride with 5 people is not advised. (any journey lasting longer than 4 hours)

Service – completed with two free services thus far. no issues, one paid service. Oil changes, routine inspections, repairs, and other chargeable services cost $4700 per 10000 kilometers. No service-related issues to date

Safety-wise, it has EBD and ABS. Since I was able to stop in time both times, ABS and EBD are good.

Since IMT has excellent technology, gear shifts are seamless. best for city driving and manual transmission. No problems with shifting gears.

Sound insulation in the cabin is good, same like in other automobiles. No noise at all if you keep your speed between 80 and 90. But if you travel any further, you’ll hear some road and tire noise. That is clearly apparent.

Bose’s audio system is a great one. no words In the end, everything is a matter of perspective. I enjoy it.

Why did Kia Sonet sales fall?

The continuous supply crisis is to blame for the 13% decline in sales recorded by Korean automaker Kia last month. Kia’s sales have plummeted by more than 32% compared to the same month last year, with only 14,214 cars sold in November.

Kia recorded sales of 16,331 units in October of this year, a decrease of almost 22% from the same month last year. The sales decline has gotten worse inside a month.

What SUV is superior to the Kia Sonet?

As it is, a petrol engine is available for every vehicle in the compact-SUV sector. The Mahindra XUV300 is the only vehicle that cannot be ordered with an automatic transmission for its petrol engine. All of the costs are listed below.

At Rs 9.65 lakh, or Rs 84,000 less than the Sonet HTK+ trim, the Hyundai Venue 1.0-litre, S trim, continues to be the segment’s most cost-effective DCT automatic. The price difference grows as we move up the range, but even so, the top-spec Kia is also better equipped. The top-spec Sonet GTX+ trim (Rs 12.89 lakh) is a startling Rs 1.43 lakh more expensive than the top-end Venue 1.0 SX+ AT.

What makes the Kia Sonet superior?

After much anticipation, Kia has finally introduced the Sonet sub-four metre SUV to the Indian market, with an introductory price of Rs 6.71 lakh. The car is offered in two trim levels: Tech-Line, which includes the HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX, and HTX+ variants; and GT-Line, which is the first in the sector and includes the GTX+ variant.
