I drive a premium-equipped 2021 Kia K5 EX. I understand that in order to use the remote start on the key fob, you must first hit the lock button.
(and the amber running lights blink) Press the remote start button on your key fob to start your car’s engine in 4 seconds. The car will run for 10 minutes before shutting off. My query is this:
Why do the amber driving lights flicker a few times before turning off after pressing the remote start button? Why are the amber running lights not on at all times?
In order to determine whether the engine is still running or not, you can check from your house window or another location. When the running lights are out, you cannot see if
whether or not the engine is operating and whether you should restart it! The running lights would stay on while the engine was running in all of my prior cars, including older KIAS, letting you know that the interior would be warm when you got out and into your car.
