By 2025, the company announced, it aims to hold 6.6% of the global market for battery-electric vehicles, sell 500,000 EVs annually worldwide by 2026, and produce 20% of its global sales by 2025. A quarter of its sales are expected to be generated in 2029.

The EV6, its first exclusively electric vehicle, will go on sale in a few locations next month and is based on a new Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) that it also shares with Hyundai’s Ioniq 5.

The first Kia vehicle to feature the new emblem is the EV6, which will be on sale in Australia in the fourth quarter of this year.
