It shouldn’t be “damaged” or “broken” by driving in Snow mode in dry weather, but differential wear may be accelerated over extended periods of time. You will compromise performance because it stops your differentials from performing the function for which they were created. If you force your automobile into turns, it could understeer, ruining your handling.
Don’t use snow mode in the dry since there is practically no point. However, failing to switch it off or going over 40 mph won’t harm it.

My 2005 G35x was newly purchased yesterday. I like everything so far, with the exception of the two inches of snow we received yesterday night. I gently backed out of this parking lot because the car had no traction at all. Even when I tried switching it to snow mode, nothing really changed. Simply said, it caused the car to slide differently. Not exactly helping either, the stability control merely seemed to be failing terribly in its attempts to restore control. It was really just floating over the dirt the entire time and not really holding. Up until I came to a stop at a red light, I believed the problem lay with the vehicle itself. When I was nearly at a complete stop, the automobile started to slide sideways at 1 mph, whirled about, and slid through the intersection. All the fwd cars are happily cruising around me in the meantime. I noticed the tires were grand touring’s touring vr’s, which were made by a brand I had never heard of. I went to the tire shop nearby since I thought it might be a summer tire or something, and he suggested some Goodyear Triple Tread Assured tires for me. Are any people using these? I’m making a lot of effort to delay acquiring winter tires and rims.

No, the Snow mode has no speed limit. You can travel at any speed. In order to reduce tire sliding and better balance the power output across the 4 wheels, snow mode will put you in second gear as soon as you leave a stop.
