There is no emotion in this. A logical and statistical question is this. Based on the details of the inquiry, how long can I keep it? Give me some statistics on how long these things endure when treated well without incurring significant costs (please don’t perform the simple math of 35/5=7). Is it 100, 110, 120, 150, 200, or any other number of kilometers?
In the last five years, my 1997 Outback hasn’t cost me anything, but it’s soon going to need some maintenance that will cost at least $700 and probably more. Additionally, it can be worth $5,000 on a good day.
Since I reached 124,000 miles last year, my 1999 Quest has cost me roughly $3,000. Since it reached 100k miles three years ago, it has not been worth $3,000 at all.
