The sometimes troublesome wireless versions of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are ultimately integrated via a cable connection (depending on particular areas). Additionally, there will be much upgraded navigation software that incorporates 3D maps, turn-by-turn directions, real-time traffic data, and rerouting based on current traffic circumstances. Up to seven devices can simultaneously connect to the Wi-Fi hotspot, and over-the-air upgrades are finally supported to keep things like maps and pertinent software up-to-date. A more effective processor is supposed to have made the experience faster.

Both the board and the car are obviously new to me. Even for 2019 cars, I’m astonished at how much behind this car is in the CarPlay technology! But that’s a different discussion.
I’ve done a lot of study in a short period of time, but it appears like there are alternatives for CarPlay integration. These updates are provided. The good news comes first.
YES:
Lsailt – Alibaba is the best place to buy. I’m awaiting a response with the link from “Cosmo.”
Navigator: – Direct sales are made in the USA. They are employed by my neighborhood store. One thing that might be a deal-breaker for me would be whether I have to utilize their “steering-wheel” remote. I enjoy how Lsailt is an entirely background option.
NAViKS is a US company as well. They need to check whether or not the car’s controls can be used, and you weren’t dependent on their joystick. (One image on their website depicts a knob that is circular.)
NO:
GROM: “Unfortunately, at this time, we do not have an application for your vehicle.”
Crutchfield lacked information. They claimed they haven’t done enough study on it yet. They probably don’t want to put their name on any proposals just yet.
I can provide the responses from each business. But there are choices, they just need some effort. If I don’t want to do it myself, the next step would be to call around and request installation quotes. I’m from MD.

Can a 2019 INFINITI QX60 have navigation added to it?
With the UNAVI Navigation System, the Infiniti QX60 (Infiniti JX) may add navigation while keeping all of its factory features.
Previously known as Infiniti JX, our Infiniti QX60 Navigation System is made to seamlessly blend with your factory radio and finish. UNAVI Navigation Systems distinguish themselves from conventional aftermarket navigation by retaining OEM radio features and technology, including any infotainment and telematic functions from the manufacturer. Infiniti InTouch*, OEM backup camera*, HD Radio*, Satellite XM Radio*, AUX/MP3 playback*, Bluetooth*, steering wheel controls, climate controls, and much more are all included in our systems (*if fitted). In other words, following installation, the newly added navigation capability will function precisely the same with your radio and entertainment system.

These Infiniti QX60 maps are offline, which means they are part of a specific offline navigation system that does not rely on cellular connectivity because GPS satellites provide accurate information. Additionally, UNAVI systems include multimedia functions including video playback from an external storage device.
Plug-and-play UNAVI Navigation Systems prevent OEM hardware modification. A 2 year standard warranty from UNAVI is longer than the industry average.
How to Set Up:
- A DIY Installation Guide is provided with UNAVI systems, while UNAVI recommends professional installation.
Can I use CarPlay wirelessly with Infinity?
Support for wireless CarPlay is one of the new features coming to drivers thanks to a software upgrade that Infiniti has begun to roll out for the infotainment system fitted in a few models.
Simply because it’s simpler to connect a mobile device to the head unit with wireless Android Auto and CarPlay than with the traditional versions that require a connection, they offer additional convenience.
If the wireless mode is available, after the two devices are paired, a connection is instantly made between the phone and the HU. In other words, you can just leave your phone in your pocket or bag since when you start the car, Android Auto or CarPlay should still start up on the head unit.
As the company has announced an infotainment software update that also enables wireless CarPlay in their vehicles, a select group of Infiniti owners are about to get first-hand experience with this wireless mode.
The software upgrade, which is intended for the 2020 and 2021 Infiniti Q50, Q60, QX50, and QX80, can be installed at any dealership, regardless of whether your car is still covered by warranty or not. You must, however, make an appointment for the software upgrade by March 31, 2022, if the warranty has already run out.
Infiniti notes that this software update is optional, so you can certainly forego it if you don’t necessarily want Apple’s wireless CarPlay. According to the company, your infotainment system will continue to function as usual, so theoretically, this is the only feature you won’t be getting.
Although the software upgrade is a fairly simple procedure, it must be carried out at an Infiniti dealership. It doesn’t take more than an hour to complete.
There is a rumor The days of wired CarPlay may already be numbered if Apple does indeed consider a portless iPhone that may be released in a few years. The Cupertino-based tech giant’s willingness to adopt this concept is still up in the air, but if it does, the move to wireless will almost probably be slow.
