In documents made public by American safety inspectors on Wednesday, the Korean manufacturer claims that the heat from the engine can cause a low pressure gasoline tube to shatter over time. That could result in fuel leaks and raise the possibility of a fire.
Dealers examined the hoses as part of the 2020 recall and replaced them if necessary. Otherwise, heat-resistant tape was put in place. This time, all defective hoses will be changed.
