I’ll add my two cents in support of the Continental Viking 3 winter tires, which I only recently utilized in our first snowstorm yesterday.
Excellent snow traction when accelerating and turning. On dry pavement, the ride, handling, and noise levels are surprisingly good—nearly no compromise when compared to the OEM all-season tires.
Cons: In light, slushy conditions, stopping distances won’t significantly increase with these tires, as they won’t with any other winter tires. Winter tires truly shine in conditions of deep freezing.
