Best vehicle we’ve ever owned
After 278,000+ miles, still going strong and dependable. The engine is incredibly powerful, but gas mileage is pretty reasonable. The mechanics and engine will undoubtedly outlive the body and its many parts. The windows in both of the back doors have been malfunctioning, which is the only issue.
Honda Accord
Although the interior of this Sonata is quiet and comfy, it is less maneuverable than the model it replaces.
The tiny sedan comes equipped with modern, time-appropriate safety features, such as side curtain airbags and electronic stability control.
The four-cylinder is refined and efficient, while the V6 is bigger, more powerful, and more refined than the vehicle it replaced.
Searching locally for a used Sonata?
The automobile drives nicely and accelerates, brakes, and turns. With child safety seats and airbags, the vehicle is highly secure (including a front passenger seat automatic off for light passengers, AKA – kids). I’ve owned numerous Accords and Civics, so I’d compare it to them. In the last 15 years, Hyundai has significantly increased its reliability. Like the Hondas I’ve had, I anticipate this car will top 300K.
Pros:
long commutes are made comfortable by the car’s good gas mileage, extra bells and whistles for a car of this price, terrific power, and huge trunk.
Cons:
Car has been a value. excellent, dependable transportation. Compare it to the more expensive luxury vehicles. even by today’s standards, the automobile looks good for being 8 years old. Not too expensive to maintain. Independent garages can complete repairs for an affordable price. reasonable fuel efficiency for a six cylinder.
adore this vehicle Excellent fuel efficiency in and outside of town. No troubles at all and highly dependable. I think it looks nice, and family and friends have been very complimentary. I would absolutely purchase another Hyunday Sonata! Awesom!
First of all, I find it incredible that our car has been ours for eight years and still starts every day with the original battery. No matter the outside temperature—-20 to 90 degrees—the car always starts. Thanks Hyundai for making such a nice automobile.
Hyundai improved in 2006 in terms of appearance, speed, handling, and interior design. The car has room for two adults and two children, a firm but not overly stiff ride, an incredibly quiet engine, and a well-designed interior.
I used this car for daily commuting for four years, with the occasional road trip, and I had a great experience with it. It is by far the best family car I have owned. I have only ever had one tail light issue, and I have it frequently serviced at our neighborhood Hyundai store. Otherwise, there are no issues. Driving on the freeway or winding rural roads is enjoyable. I’m currently on my second set of brakes and tires. I’ll swap out the original battery this week. With God’s blessing, we hope to retain this car forever.
