So in October, I purchased an Elantra HEV from 2021. The blue link has only succeeded or failed a handful of times. My pin was incorrect, the app informed me when I tried to set it up. It wasn’t because I noted it down, but I conducted a pin reset. Yet nothing. Reset the game console. Once it worked, then nothing. With COVID, I don’t drive much, but now that it’s cold, I want remote starting to function. Nope. I changed the Blue Link settings in the console, and it once functioned. (App claimed pin was incorrect and required a new reset.) It has only ever successfully started the car remotely once since I had to get in the vehicle to fix it, so I don’t rate that as a success.
Since my SubaruSTARLINK always operated without a hitch, I don’t believe there is a coverage problem. If I leave the doors unlocked, I receive updates on the condition of my car, so it can easily be located. I feel fairly miffed at having to reset a number of things every time I want to use it.
