I can assure you that removing the door is quite difficult. Please take note of my error since I broke it the first time.
1. Remove all exposed screws: two at the bottom of the door, three near the front.
2. There are two circles on the actual door handle. Toggle the front
3. After the screws have been eliminated, use a regular flat-head screwdriver to:
4. Pry the door lock using the same flat-head screwdriver you used earlier.
5. Carefully peel the door panel away from the door while being careful not to damage it.
6. The tough part will come at this point. You are recommended to get assistance.
7. You ought to be able to lift the lock after forcing it through the gap.

I’ve looked everywhere, but I can’t seem to locate anything regarding changing the outer door handle. I can remove the inner door panel, and behind it is a metal cover that I can remove the screws from. I’m not sure what else it is attached to, but it appears to be the window guides.
I replaced my door handle with a new one, but it would have been good if it had been painted first. Anyway, I was planning to move the door handle from the rear door to the front door since the driver’s door needs it replaced, so at least my wife may use the door handle again for a little bit. Until I find out how to have the new one painted, at least.
to take off the Veracruz’s external door handle. Remove the plastic cap from the lock mechanism by opening the driver’s door. It can be found on the door jamb. Underneath the cap, there is a bolt. You don’t have to remove the bolt completely, and you shouldn’t allow it fall into the door panel when you loosen it. Pull the lock mechanism out after the bolt has been backed off. To disconnect the wire connector, take the door handle and slide back and out just a bit. To install the handle, reverse. Once you’ve completed it once, it only takes ten minutes. On a 2008 Veracruz, I carried it out in this manner.
Procedure
Take the door panel off. From the car, remove the door panel. Behind the internal door handle is one screw. The door panel has plastic retainers fitted all the way around it. Remove all of the door panel’s electrical connectors.
Put the door doorknob in place. Replace the door handle. Join the cables for the door handles.
Set up the door panel. Put the door panel back in place. Replace any broken plastic retainers immediately.
