I believe Daimler owns 10% of Hyundai, which, in my opinion, is not a majority stake but is still a pretty damn excellent investment for them.
According to the OP, DaimlerChrysler (now Daimler) sold its 10% holding in Hyundai in 2004. It also appears that DaimlerChrysler sold its 10.5 percent ownership in the Daimler-Hyundai Truck Corporation in 2004.
