For reasons other than Honda’s obvious decision to omit the two-door model for its small vehicles’ 11th generation, our hypothetical Civic coupe is an impossibility. We completely undersized the roof pillars for a contemporary two-door automobile out of fondness for the Honda. Modern side-impact crash standards would undoubtedly need the B-pillar to be much thicker, whilst the C-pillar is completely consumed by glass and has very little structural metal.
