The concept version of the second-generation Honda HR-V made its premiere at the 2014 New York International Auto Show, and the production vehicle was later presented at the 2014 LA Auto Show. The 2018 Honda HR-V has two major recalls in addition to having over 40 owner complaints in the NHTSA database.
