The 2022 Honda Talon Lineup, which includes normal and FOX Live Valve versions of the Talon 1000R, Talon 1000X, and Talon 1000X-4, was unveiled by Honda today. The six-version family benefits from a number of improvements for the 2019 model year, many of which are focused on improving driving satisfaction through enhancements to the driver/passenger cabin that are comfortable and convenient.
A relocated meter with improved visibility is one of the platform-wide Talon updates for 2022. Other changes include extended shift paddles for simpler manual gear changes while driving dynamically, improved mud protection through seat sealing, revised ignition timing for smoother transitions from deceleration to acceleration, updated styling, improved i-4WD, and a pre-wired switch panel to make it easier to install electronic accessories.

The Talon, which is made in the USA, is the only sport side-by-side platform in the market with features like an automatic Dual Clutch Transmission and i-4WD. It has also proven itself in competition, taking first place in its class in the most recent Baja 1000, King of the Hammers, and Mint 400 races. The Talon is better than ever thanks to Honda’s legendary dependability, craftsmanship, and longevity as well as major improvements to the driving experience.
The Talon 1000R is perfect for rough, open terrain when bump absorption is a top requirement. It has a 68.4-inch vehicle width and a 92.7-inch wheelbase. The R is also available in a variant with technology derived from Honda’s tight collaboration with Fox and Bosch, both innovators in their spheres. Will the Honda Talon debut in 2022?

Another key element of every Kraftwerks kit is the employment of a sizable, very effective air-to-air intercooler positioned in the free-flowing air behind the cockpit. Colder intake charge-air produces more power with higher dependability. The intercooler has a maximum power capacity of 400 horsepower. For owners running fully enclosed cabs, adding cooling fans to the intercooler is a simple process.
Regarding air filtering, the Kraftwerks Talon Turbo kit features a dual-filter intake in the Donaldson style that attaches to the factory snorkel in the factory location. Even though we haven’t found pre-filters to be necessary, Kraftwerks built and arranged the system in such a way that adding an aftermarket particle separator is a straightforward process.

Polaris RZR or the Honda Talon: which is superior?
However, a 999cc, 106 horsepower engine powers the Honda Talon 1000X and 1000R. The Polaris RZR’s twin-cylinder engine can produce up to 110 horsepower. Although there isn’t a huge disparity here, the Polaris UTV wins on paper.
However, like the Honda Africa Twin, the Honda UTV side-by-side has a dual clutch transmission (DCT). Contrarily, the Polaris RZR XP1000 uses a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that is belt-driven. The Honda Talon will have an advantage in some off-road driving circumstances thanks to the more direct power from the dual clutch system.

With U.S. associates under the direction of the project leaders within the corresponding function groups, we are in charge of the complete frame, body, plastics, electrical system, and suspension. Although there are also Japanese technical professionals present, U.S. employees are mostly in charge of the development itself.
Honda’s U.S. Powersports division is in charge of creating and manufacturing the Talon and other off-road vehicles, aside from the engine and transmission. Additionally, Honda of South Carolina production facilities produce the Honda Talon as well as additional ATVs and SXS products.
