Despite still producing 47 peak horsepower, the bike’s 471cc parallel-twin engine now has new fuel injection settings for 2022, which, in Honda’s words, “further enhance both torque feel and overall character.” The new CB500X also has a lighter radiator and a lighter front wheel made of 19-inch cast aluminum thanks to thinner spokes. For someone as tall and as heavy as I am—5’7 and 180 pounds—this can be a problem on some cycles where the bars aren’t lifted up high enough, but the 500X is perfect for me.
