A pre-owned OEM BMW rooftop cargo box is offered for sale. roughly 84 by 21 by 13 inches. I think it was a Thule product that was branded with the BMW logo.
Excellent used condition for roof box. Cosmetically, I’d give it an 8.5 out of 10. Contains a tiny crack on the top. a few small dings here and there.
I was just looking at a box identical to that one here on Craigslist. Given that they are produced by Thule, do you know if this can be attached to them without the requirement for adapters or other modifications? Here, the vendor is unsure.
Without seeing your Thule crossbars, it’s impossible to say, but I don’t believe this box is directly compatible.
The lengthwise channels on the BMW roof bars are horizontal. To hold the box in place, attachments on the bottom slide down those channels.
I’ve previously owned Thule bars and boxes, and those fasten using a “U” bolt.
How are aluminum motorbike panniers cleaned?
The majority of “marks” on the panniers will go after using WD40, however the issue of raw aluminum oxidizing is not resolved. Autosol. Will deal with the aluminum oxide issue and properly resolve it. Brake cleaner first, then toothpaste will work just as well.
