BMW’s American plant produces more than ever in 2019
BMW’s Spartanburg, South Carolina, production plant has introduced two electrified cars, four Motorsport X variants, and five new or updated BMW X models since 2017.
As the demand for crossovers rose worldwide, BMW’s largest plant in the world, in Spartanburg, South Carolina, produced a record 411,620 vehicles in 2017.
In comparison to 2018, the plant produced 15% more vehicles in 2019. It assembles five BMW X-series crossovers. By 449 units, production volume broke the previous record set in 2016. The factory can produce 450,000 units annually.
